an Important, In-demand Profession

Today’s buildings utilize comfort (heating, air conditioning and air distribution) and refrigeration systems that are becoming more complex. For example, hospitals require better quality air in their operating rooms - a critical task that is led by an HVACR technician.

With existing buildings, the rising cost to heat or cool an older building is making many owners look to HVACR technicians to enhance energy efficiency, decrease operating costs and prolong building life.

As a result, more skilled technicians are needed to provide repairs and maintenance every year. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Outlook Handbook predicts that the HVACR service technician industry is set to grow by 18 to 26 percent between 2004 and 2014. This mean the skills learned in the HVACR training program will always be in demand.
